I actually won the contest

I don't want to sound ungracious.  But why didn't they put an exclamation point at the end of the "Congratulations"?  Makes it seem almost sarcastic, or like the person writing the email is on meds.  You won our contest.  Congratulations.

In any event, I was very excited to have won.  Are you excited for me, Edd?  Would you like to see how I responded?

So exciting.  A free book!  Not sure why I redacted my last name, as it is available for all the world to see over at the Book Bench.  Or just look at this screenshot.

  1. So excited, Thom. Does this mean you have a vaguely menacing toe in The New Yorker's door?
